We just found out we have been added to the red Gorilla Music Festival in Austin next month!!!! We’ll be playing 2 (two) shows, and they are……

March 14th at the Chugging Monkey at 1 pm

And

March 15th at the Bourbon Girl at 3 pm

Please come out and Chug a monkey or bourb a girl, (whaaaaa?) with us.

So grateful for last night. It was amazing to celebrate a record that means so much to us with people that mean even more.

The new tunes we played last night were only a preview of what’s to come, so while you’re enjoying Stay/Go keep in mind that we’re hard at work on it’s new sibling.

Minneapolis CD Release Show Jan 25th Crooked Pint

Stay/Go official release tomorrow, NOV 27

Its not quite December but we have a lot to look back on this year and some to look forward to still! Tomorrow the new record drops online and in stores. Locally (Minneapolis/St. Paul) you can get it at Cheapo, Electric Fetus, and Treehouse Records.

Looking back on 2012, it was the year of getting back on the road. A lot of time back in a van, loading in and out in the cold, in the dark. Driving through the night to get to a radio spot, playing shows and meeting great people, and playing our hearts out everywhere we went. Six Countries, driving through 16 states, and one fine Province. Planes, trains, subways, the Van, and even a set of crutches, its been a good year.

Not to mention, our first ever Full Length release and our first release in Five years.

Luckily, that’s not where it ends, we’re already starting on our next record, and planning on many, many more shows in 2013.

Thanks for being with us this far, we can’t wait to take you with us even farther. But here’s a look back on 2012

Back on the road…

I don’t vacation very well. I always have a hard time settling in and then get antsy after a couple of days once I finally do. Most of it has to do with not feeling like I have a purpose or that I feel lazy, although I know sometimes my purpose should be to just slow down and enjoy doing nothing!

As the band has been travelling more this year than ever before, I’m realizing quite how much I enjoy being on the road in this way. It’s a ‘best of both worlds’ scenario for a person like me. I get to visit fantastic cities, experience other cultures and meet new people– all the while knowing that that night (or the next) I get to play music for people!

Every fantastic situation has it’s downsides of course– all night drives, interesting hotels and, worst of all, missing the one you love the most. These things are not to go unnoticed, but I feel very fortunate none the less.

Now, I have to be off and finish final preparations before we load up the van tomorrow! As a parting gift in honor of our new album Stay/Go finally being officially released Nov 27th, we want to extend a gift to you all as a thank you for your support. Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows last week.  We had a great time and can’t wait to get back.  Czar, Foam, Red Rooster, and Beaners.  Things we learned…..

1.  Reese should always sleep alone

2.  GPS is a necessity when on the road

3.  ’That thing you do’ is one of the best movies for a band to watch.

4.  ’Almost famous’ is also one of the best movies for a band to watch.

5.  There might be a gang of bears on motorcycles that guard the St. Louis arch at night.

6.  Mickey in Omaha is quite a guy.

If none of that made any sense, that just means you must come to the next Grayshot show you can!
